Lemon Tree Bowls Club

There was no Kings Cup this week so we have had a well earned rest and are hoping that it will have done us good for our home match against Quesada next week.

Our Dambusters on the other hand had a really good match against San Miguel Christians by winning on three, loosing on three and just missing those extra two points on shots difference. However six well earned points. Well done guys. The rink results were;

    Mike Petty, Ron Edwards and Shirley Edwards, 23 – 12. *
    Malcolm Sykes, Derry Ffitch and Jim Rainbow, 22 – 18. *
    Janet Brown, Gary Newson and Richard Lee, 16 – 29.
    John Cleal, Malcolm Drew and Jon Henly, 24 – 21. *
    Peter Cadwell, Mike Smith and Maggie Furness, 11 – 16.
    Hazel Woods, Stuart Johnson and Ray Heath, 12 – 19.

Last week I informed all the players in the football league that the presentation was going to be held at the green on the evening of the 9th July. I am now giving notice that this event will now take place at lunch time at a Hungarian restaurant in La Siesta on the same date. All the relevant information will be on the club notice board by Thursday next.

Restaurant in Los Montisinos one very important photo was left out. I hope I can now rectify this as it shows one of the restaurant’s owners who was the main sponsor for these championships presenting their trophy to our ladies champion, Maggie Furness. We wish to thank the owners and their staff for a very pleasant evening with good food in very comfortable surroundings.
