Club Report week ending 28 June with Tony Capewell
Week four of the Australian 2-4-2 league saw the Koalas drop their first point allowing the chasing teams to play catch up, the koalas now lead by 1 point with five games to play.

In the Kings Cup the Earls had a disastrous day losing at home to Horadada 9-3
Singles - Keith Jones suffered a rare defeat going down 19-21
Pairs - Colin Lindgren & Ian Rogers won 24-7
Trips - Eric Slater, Les Bedford & Sam Russell lost 12-15
Rinks - June Jones, Steve Pearson, Rod Payne & Steve Cantly lost 14-19
Better news in the Princes League, the team of Margaret Rogers, Mike Veale & Renata Huggins continued their winning ways with a 25-13 victory.

A challenge match for the Sabrina Marks Cup between the Isle's Only Girls Allowed and San Miguel Foxy Ladies was played at San Miguel, the result was a fine win for the Isle's Ladies by 4 rinks to 2 and thus the cup comes to the Isle. It is hoped to arrange a return match in September again on San Miguel's rinks.

In the SABA Trips the Vulcans entertained Horadada Hawks abd came unstuck losing 4-10.

Sally Fielder, Marylin Shatwell & Roy Rawlings Lost 14-19
A bad result for the Vulcans but there is still time to recover.
On Friday evening we held a Bollywood night at the Isle Complex Indian dress being the theme. Some wonderful attires were judged by Vera Moran, prizes were awarded to the winners, this author was not one of then but that’s life. A good time was had by all and we look foreword to our next social event on 23rd July when we will hold a fun night & BBQ, names on the list please.

Location: Heading north along the N332 take the Villamartin turn off at La Zenia as far as the island with the motorway toll station where you turn right. Continue straight along this road until you pick up the La Florida and the Emerald Isle signs. The club is located within the Emerald Isle Leisure Complex.
